A GREAT PLACE TO GROW - GROWING IN CHRIST

LUTHERAN SCHOOLS:  SECURING EACH CHILD'S FUTURE

Security is important to us.  Many people today have security systems to protect their homes.  Businesses hire security guards.  Due to events in the last few years, public gathering places are more secure than ever.

While we all need and want physical security, it is even more important in our spiritual lives.  We need to be secure in knowing that God loves us and has good plans for our lives.  We want the security that when we fall or fail, our God is there to forgive us and pick us up.  We desire the confidence that God has an eternal home waiting for us when we pass through the gate called death.

What a privilege it is in this great land that Lutheran Schools enjoy religious freedom to share this message of security with children and their families every day, day in and day out!  In Lutheran Christian schools, teachers are called to freely teach the Good News of Christ’s love every day without worries about political correctness or the latest court rulings.

This month almost 2,500 Lutheran schools across the United States will be celebrating National Lutheran Schools Week.  Over 280,000 students along with their 18,000 teachers will be able to share their excitement about their Lutheran school in their communities.  Within these schools, the security of God’s plan for our lives is shared and then spread throughout the communities every day.  What a mission!  What an opportunity!

Jeremiah 29:11  “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
